Notes on Narcissism
Instead of placing ourselves in a position of hoping or needing someone to change, we can better prepare ourselves by interacting with them as they are, not as we wish them to be.
It’s all about growing
And, as human beings, we are nudged to grow in three main ways:
• Through practice and action
• In response to inspiration
• In response to disruption (when things change or fall apart)
“Do by self”
What I’ve learned as a fiercely independent person: receiving support makes all the difference.
Fractally Whole
The healing of our world, does start with ourselves… all the way down and into our cells.
Conspiring with life.
It’s strange, isn’t it, that it takes courage and active participation to do and be what is already uniquely ours to do and be in this life?
Accompaniment: a real (and rare) gift
Accompaniment—the gift of being genuinely present—may be the greatest gift we can give another.
Your Past, Present, and Future Selves: Behind the Scenes
What is happening 'behind the scenes' of this practice?
Your Past, Present, and Future Selves: A Conversation
I invite you to a conversation that may very well be one of those conversations—the ones that change everything once you have them: a conversation between your past, present, and future selves.
Habits: Simplifying Change
"Change is hard" is a familiar sentiment—one that I heard myself express just the other day. However, what if numerous changes in our lives could actually be quite simple?
Ecology of Care
The phrase 'how we do anything is how we do everything' can be both liberating and frustrating. Sometimes, pushing harder in habitual approaches isn't the answer. Instead, stepping back and exploring a new approach can open up profound new possibilities.
Transformation
Transformation… pointing to both the tiny moments of shift and the long journey and outcomes from those shifts.
It’s Enough…
With respect for the life you are uniquely living, wishing you a nourishing turn of the season.
It is Time to ‘Dain’ Ourselves
This is our chance to 'dain' ourselves—to live such fierce care and reverence, dedicated mutuality, and unconditional dignity—from the inside-out.
Becoming The Health Coach I Needed
We are not alone. We are experiencing outcomes from the conditions we are embedded in. We have power in the midst of these challenging circumstances—and we don’t have to hack it on our own.
The Inner Climate Crisis
Just as our world is calling for healing, our bodies and inner ecologies are calling for healing. How we engage in healing within our communities matters profoundly. How we engage healing within ourselves matters just as profoundly.
Nurturing Conditions of Health
We are remarkable, conscious, self-aware beings, already whole, with ongoing potential for learning, growing, and healing. What we DO need are conditions that nourish health!... and we each have a role for nurturing such conditions for ourselves, one another, and our world.
